My name is Lillian Webb

I am a freelance book designer and illustrator living in Newcastle, Australia.

With over seven years of experience in design and illustration, I manage final-stage book production from concept to print.
My background in natural history illustration brings exacting image creation to the book-making process.

Whether the goal is self-publishing, printing domestically or overseas, I can advise and nurture the project through each stage.

I completed a diploma in Graphic Design in 2014. The following year, I began a degree in Natural History Illustration (scientific illustration) at the University of Newcastle, graduating in 2018. During this time, I also took a course in children’s book design and illustration at Pumphouse Design School, Newcastle. With these specialised skills, I began work as a freelance designer and illustrator.

Having a background in design and illustrating for print, I am in a relatively unique position of being able to manage a broad range of creative projects from the concept stage to the end product.
I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to produce design and illustrative work for a variety of clients, including non-fiction historical book illustrations, botanical illustrations, and book design for catalogues, novels, biographies, e-publishing and more.
